Navigate from the authority
Practical checklist · not an audit of another provider
Find the relevant agency's own case page independently. Follow its link to any external claims administrator and compare the complete hostname, not just the logo or page title. A legitimate administrator may use a non-government domain, as the OneCoin notice explains; that makes the official referral especially useful. Do not trust a direct message simply because it repeats real case details.
Read the current instructions
Practical checklist · not an audit of another provider
Record the application deadline, eligible transactions, required evidence and any updates. The OneCoin notice's June 2026 deadline is an example of information that cannot be copied into a current invitation without checking it. Keep your own copy of submitted records and any acknowledgement. Do not infer acceptance or a guaranteed payment from the fact that a form was submitted.
Question payment demands
Practical checklist · not an audit of another provider
Compare any requested fee with the official terms. The cited OneCoin process was free, and the FTC warns about businesses promising recovery for upfront money. If a message claims a special payment will accelerate a government distribution, verify it through independently obtained official contact details. Preserve the message and payment instructions if you suspect impersonation, and do not post personal claim documents publicly.
Verify the route before preparing the claim
Practical checklist · not an audit of another provider
Make a private record with four entries: government starting page; administrator named there; exact destination hostname; deadline shown on the administrator's current notice. Compare each with the message you received. A pluralised domain, an added word or a different top-level domain is a different destination. Do not use a search advertisement as the missing link. If the government and administrator notices appear inconsistent, retain both and seek clarification through independently obtained official contact details before submitting identity documents.
Sources, dates and limits
The FBI notice is dated 25 June 2026. Its 30 June 2026 application deadline is now historical; this article does not assert that applications remain open or that an extension exists. Eligibility and any later updates must be checked through the official programme linked by DOJ.

The DOJ remission directory identifies Kroll as the retained administrator for OneCoin. Together with the FBI notice, this provides a way to authenticate the compensation process before sharing a claim file. The June deadline in that notice has passed. An advertisement using a similar programme name does not establish an extension or a new official claims window.
