Proxy networks and managed APIs. Purpose, access conditions, limitations and official sources. Provider claims about network size and sourcing are not our independent audit. Before sending work data, review the contract, target-site restrictions and metadata handling. A proxy does not replace the resource owner's permission.
Residential proxies and plan options. Purpose, access conditions, limitations and official sources. Compare per-IP static addresses with per-gigabyte rotating traffic against your workload. A large advertised pool does not mean every address is simultaneously available. A rebrand alone does not justify a second catalog entry.
Network type and connection sourcing. Purpose, access conditions, limitations and official sources. Statements about participant consent and address sourcing belong to the provider. Review contractual explanations rather than drawing conclusions from “residential”. Record network type, plan and observed results in your own test without promising anonymity.
ISP proxies and traffic accounting. Purpose, access conditions, limitations and official sources. The provider publishes a KYC policy; access and additional checks depend on its terms. Do not carry old unlimited-traffic promises into a new order. A dedicated IP also does not guarantee a website permits a particular action.
Product selection and billing units. Purpose, access conditions, limitations and official sources. A dedicated address and a rotating network are not interchangeable for a long session. A menu listing does not confirm your account's access to a particular country or target site. This review is documentation-based, not a network availability benchmark.
Buying proxies versus the Packeter programme. Purpose, access conditions, limitations and official sources. Rotating mode selects exits for new connections; a sticky session is not a permanent IP rental. Check your application's protocol and authentication needs. Do not install Packeter just to buy proxies: it is a different action with a different risk model.
Rotating traffic and static addresses. Purpose, access conditions, limitations and official sources. Compare like-for-like products, the discounted total and the next period's price. For static connections, clarify replacement of a failed address. Paying for a plan does not guarantee that every website accepts its IPs.
Static addresses and volume pricing. Purpose, access conditions, limitations and official sources. The Scraping API performs different work from a regular proxy and uses a different billing unit. Keep it separate in comparisons. This review does not validate advertised speed, network size or request success rates.
Credits, regions and traffic cost. Purpose, access conditions, limitations and official sources. A mobile exit does not mean renting a personal phone. Establish address characteristics and session duration for the selected product. Connection stability and suitability for a target site require your own small authorised test.
Address lists and rotating networks. Purpose, access conditions, limitations and official sources. Do not apply free-list conditions to the paid residential network. Check address count, traffic and geographic filters separately. Record errors and response times during testing: one successful request does not describe the whole network.
A proxy receives requests from a compatible application and forwards them. It does not necessarily route every connection on the computer. For your own website, define a testable task: localisation, page rendering or availability from an authorised region. Specify protocol, country and whether one exit must persist for a session. Without this, comparing providers by price is of little use.
This is a review of public documentation, not an installation test, security audit or performance benchmark.
Distinguish address types
Datacenter, ISP, residential and mobile describe different network models. The label does not establish exclusivity, connection-owner consent or acceptance by a target website. A static address also differs from a sticky session: temporarily retaining an exit is not permanent rental. Establish what happens when a node fails and how replacements work.
Compare the total cost
Compare minimum top-ups, gigabytes, addresses, rental periods and extra filters. Products may charge differently for failed requests and retries. Check balance expiry and automatic renewal. Do not apply bulk pricing to a small test or confuse unlimited sessions with unlimited traffic.
Check trust and data handling
The provider joins your network path. Read the contract, usage rules, customer verification requirements and address sourcing information. Do not send secrets over plain HTTP or put proxy passwords in shared logs. Buying proxies does not by default require a bandwidth contribution app: at PacketStream and other networks, that is a separate role.
Separate proxies from APIs
Managed search or extraction performs more work than a regular proxy. It may bill results or calls instead of traffic and have different access to request content. Compare equivalent products. Use a small authorised test, measuring errors, delays and consumption; an advertised pool size does not measure the quality of your session.
Questions and answers
Does buying proxies require a separate installation?
Connections are usually configured in a compatible client. Check the product: a bandwidth contribution app and a buyer interface are different things.
Does a proxy hide an account login from the website?
No. A logged-in site sees the account and its actions. A different IP does not make someone anonymous or replace HTTPS, device protection or permission to collect data.
Is a sticky session a dedicated address?
Not necessarily. It retains an exit according to the provider's session rules. Confirm duration, failure handling and exclusivity separately.
Does residential mean independently verified consent?
No. It describes an address or network category. Review the provider's sourcing explanation and agreement; this catalog has not audited the participants.
Can I compare API calls with proxy gigabytes?
Only after mapping both to the same workload. A managed API does additional work and may charge for results rather than transferred bytes.
Checks before use
Open an overview of the selected program: there is a link to the official distribution, the start of work and restrictions. First check the script on the test data, then configure the copies and restore. A description of the feature does not mean that it works the same in every version or on each platform.
