Asocks-Android: Test through your own mobile connection
Asocks-Android: SOCKS5 over Yggdrasil, web panel setup, UDP and root-only limitations.
What is Asocks-Android used for?
The Android 9+ app turns a phone into a SOCKS5 server at a Yggdrasil address. The client also needs Yggdrasil. The official page offers an APK with 3.33 in its filename.

Test through your own mobile connection
Useful for testing your site over mobile data or sharing your connection with a trusted device. Account for data usage, power and heat: the author says the screen stays on to keep the app awake.

Getting started with Asocks-Android
- Open the official download page below and check the filename. Save current network settings before installation; start in a test environment without production secrets.
- Before connecting, record the original addresses and service availability. This distinguishes a tunnel problem from an existing DNS or application failure.
- Set up Yggdrasil at both ends and check the phone’s address. Choose a reachable peer: low ping measures latency, not throughput. Then set the SOCKS5 address and port in a compatible client.
- The web panel uses the same address and SOCKS5 port minus one: SOCKS5 on 1080 means 1079 for the panel. Set a username and password. UDP requires UDP ASSOCIATE in the client; a browser proxy setting alone is insufficient.
- Finish by disconnecting and reconnecting. Confirm the required routes and panel access are restored; save the working configuration without publishing passwords or keys.

Limitations and data protection in Asocks-Android
Airplane-mode IP switching and TCP/IP fingerprint changes require root according to the documentation. The carrier does not guarantee a new IP. Wi-Fi input and LTE output are described without root; restart after interface changes. No price is stated.
Official documentation and download availability were checked. The installer was not run. The page does not provide a full compatibility matrix or licence terms.
Alternatives for related tasks
YG & Socks5 serves the computer-based server use case. Proxy Geo Router can act as a compatible client; check UDP at both ends.
